I figured it no small oversight that Gibson would put the gold truss cover on the LP Supreme models, but neglected that detail on the SG. When I found the full "gold treatment" was available (various suppliers for the pup covers & knobs/tip), and then FOTN -- well hell. It's a once-in-a-lifetime axe for me anyway. An extra little bit for the full curb appeal -- easy choice. I put a link in our Gibson Supreme Owner's Club to your site. To get a Bella Voce (engraved pickup covers) from Gibson, that's a $25k expense. When I want to add a little more to my other Gibbies, I know who to call now. I'm gussing a few of our club members will be checking you out before long...lol. Some of those people drop $ on Ultimas & all that. Might find ya some new customers. I realized I never dropped you a note. That truss rod cover came out perfect as usual.Figured you may want to see it in action. ( I did add a little aging & patina to it. ) The guitar is a 1961 Gibson SG. It started as a stripped husk & was given the resto/mod treatment. Aged pelham blue finish. Original early patent number pickups & wiring harness...so it sounds fantastic. The original crown inlay from the headstock was lost...so we improvised with a Les Paul silkscreen (so it gives the look of an early prototype or something)...and that truss rod cover is the finishing touch. The guitar is a 2018 Squire hard tail Strat. I have not put strings on yet, because I think my toggle is faulty and may need to be replaced. However, the pickguard is perfect. This guitar has been a great project piece, I just need to find a better toggle switch and I might look for alnico 2 humbuckers for it next. Thank you again! Cory D As you may have noticed from the photo, over made some modifications, including your locking-nut plates and screws, string lock-down screws, and intonation set-screws - all of which have worked it beautifully! I can't get this setup out of tune! I moved the volume knob closer to the tone control knob and covered the old home with plastic disk, because my hand kept bumping into the knob.
